The roller coaster starts up. It is fast. It goes up and down. It goes around and around. He looks at his mom. His mom looks at him. They both laugh. The roller coaster is fun!

GRAMMAR There are three types of comparison: a) Comparison of equality: is used every time you want to express the equality of two beings. It is marked by the way: The + adjective + as. Mary is the the tall Cindy. (Mary is as tall as Cindy). warming tray Carol is the intelligent to Bob. (Carol is as smart as Bob). b) Comparison of inferiority: it is used to express a degree of inferiority before the other being. It is marked by the way: less + adjective + than. Beetle is less expensive than Gol. (Beetle is less expensive than Gol). São Paulo is less attractive than Rio de Janeiro. (São Paulo is less attractive than the Rio de Janeiro).
c) Comparative of superiority: it is used to demonstrate that a being is superior to another. It is marked by the way: more + adjective + than Bob is more intelligent than Mary. (Bob is smarter than Mary). The book is more interesting than the DVD. (A book is more interesting than a DVD). This form of "more + adjective + than" is valid for the adjectives that have three or more syllables. For adjectives of one or two syllables, one should add "er" to the adjective + than. Eg:
Chris is shorter than me. (Chris is shorter than me). Ann is taller warming tray than her sister. (Ann is taller than his sister). warming tray For adjectives of one or two syllables that end in CVC (consonant + vowel + consonant), one should double the last letter and add "er" than +. I am thinner than my mother. (I'm thinner than my mother). Adjectives of one or two syllables preceded ending with "y" consonant, you must remove the "y" and add "ier" than +. Bob is crazier than his brother. (Bob is crazier warming tray than his brother).
Note: The adjectives "good" (good) and "bad" (bad) have their own forms for the comparative. They are: Good (good) better than (better) Bad (bad) worse than (worse than) Orange juice is better than grape juice. (Orange juice is better warming tray than grape juice). Winter is worse than Summer. (Winter is worse than summer).
