Chili con carne is a wonderful and easy dish that can be varied endlessly, as you just have at hand and one time food budget and any request for sneaking vegetables into food without discriminating children, lovers or spouses notice it . Make like a double batch and freeze the rest, as the court is the perfect evening meal on busy days in the cold and windy autumn, lurking just around the corner.
You can stretch solar powered kettle the law by adding extra prayers. I used kidney beans, but you can easily use other beans such as baked beans, or whatever the supermarket or your local grocery now just to offer. It is also possible to mix different solar powered kettle kinds, and, if possible, use like beans in chili. You may also stretch the law by adding extra chopped tomatoes canned.
In addition chopped tomatoes, so it was healthy feature solar powered kettle of this right when I did it recently, just two peppers (yellow and red), a pile of chopped solar powered kettle onion and a few cloves of garlic, but if you wish, you can add a or two finely chopped carrots, a few finely sliced stalks celery or a can of corn and thus do right even healthier. You can also use finely chopped fresh chili pepper, which added along with the garlic, solar powered kettle if desired.
The court may serves with rice or bread, but it also tastes wonderful served on top of nachos drizzled with cheese and gratin in the oven. Alternatively, solar powered kettle you can use chili as a filling in tacos, burritos or similar.
Ingredients 2 tablespoons oil 3 onions, chopped 3 cloves garlic, chopped 2 peppers, diced 3 cans diced tomatoes 2 tablespoons solar powered kettle tomato puree 500 g ground beef 1 can kidney beans (like the chili) 1 tablespoon paprika 1 to 2 tablespoons chili powder Salt and pepper
Heat oil in a large saucepan and fry the onion for a few minutes. Add garlic and peppers and fry a few more minutes before the meat is added. Brown carefully before the remaining ingredients are added. Let simmer for at least half an hour (preferably longer), season and serve with rice, bread or nachos with cheese.
How it looks beautiful out. The gratin version of nachos is a delicious twist.
Mums, I'm just so crazy. Do try the nachos for next time. Did your long fried chicken last night and it was beautiful. Used Kim's tips to get cookie sheet above instead of film - it must try :-)
Hi Lars I did not think you were the chili con carne :) but yes, the chili is great with nachos and melted cheese. Unfortunately, require probably more than a single run, before such a game is no burning. Kh Nadia
Dear Malou, It's a great combination. Smid also like a bit of guacamole over if you're at it. Sounds good with chicken. Is there any difference when you use wax paper? I have yet to contest it. Did you also stuffing? Kh Nadia
Some of the best versions I've made have been on the whole cuts rather than ground meat - eg oksebov, brisket or okseskank. The connective tissue gives a depth which is hard to match with forhakket meat.
Nadia: No, unfortunately I can not really eat CCC more, after a rather unfortunate experience that I will not inflict you to describe here. I know I love it, but every time I think of eating it, I'm not hungry anymore.
Lovely picture, I do ik to nachos, but I was surprisingly very like the bowl there = D I always solar powered kettle use chocolate, and sometimes chipotle and Tamek and so I let the beans bake / cook for a little white wine, garlic, butter, and herbs, for about 1 hour at 200 degrees in the oven. It will be the so tender and tasty on everything from Turtle, solar powered kettle Black Eyed and Spreckled, mmmmmmmm.
I agree with Kasper in that a really good chili con carne gets even better if you use beef, not ground. I also add like coriander beyond cumin and cinnamon. I have not tried the gratin version, but feel very tempted by your great pictures.
Hello Kasper I hate caraway and cumin, then it will never come near my food. I've seen recipes with whole pieces of meat, but it is not as economical as chopped and based in Ireland I make plenty of beef, diced (stews, pies ect), so I use chopped. However, I will not refuse to give a chance one day. Nadia
Dear Lone I added actually little ground coriander, because I just had it at hand. Better just add the ingredients to the list of optional ingredients :) You have to try it with nachos and cheese. Preferably a Sunday after a wet and late Saturday;) Kh Nadia
Hello all chilli lovers. It is evident that in not using real chilli. "1-2 tablespoons chili powder" Used and it was more than rigligt. Also bought even my chilli in the supermarket. It is no good just not. Otherwise a super delicious dish and good recipe ;-)
